Job Posting: Electrician Instructor
The Trustees of the Central NY Electrical Training Alliance (CNY ETA) are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Electrical Instructor to join our team. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in the electrical
construction industry and a passion for teaching the next generation of electricians.
Position: Full-Time Electrician Instructor
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that meet CNY ETA standards.
- Teach electrical theory and practical skills to apprentices, ensuring they understand and adhere to safety protocols.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate various learning styles and levels.
- Evaluate apprentices' performance through tests, quizzes, labs, and other assessments.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to apprentices needing extra help or attention.
- Maintain accurate records of apprentices' progress and attendance.
- Foster a positive learning environment and enforce classroom and lab rules.
- Encourage apprentices to explore career paths within the electrical industry and promote active participation in union activities.
- Stay updated with industry trends and integrate modern technologies and practices into the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven years of experience in the electrical construction trades.
- Must be a member of IBEW LU 43 & have Journeyman Wireman status.
- Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate training needs.
