The time for awareness is now: Over the past three years, approximately 30 million U.S. adults have reported having serious thoughts about trying to kill
themselves. Even more alarming, suicide is the second-leading cause of death among young people.
Watch for these warning signs:
- talking or writing about suicide
- withdrawing from people and social media
- disrupted eating and/or sleeping habits
- risky or destructive behavior
- changes in personality and mood, especially anxiety and agitation
“These symptoms should be taken seriously,” says Senior Teladoc Consultant and Psychiatrist Dr. Aron Wolf. “Therapists can help
people overcome suicidal thoughts and establish healthy behavior and thinking patterns through safe, supportive, confidential
counseling.”
Teladoc’s licensed therapists and counselors are available online or by phone from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. You can
choose one from our therapists' profiles, or we can match you with one. Conduct your private visit anywhere that’s convenient
